Malaysia, November 27, 2024 – The inaugural ICDL Asia Digital Educators’ Awards was presented during the ICDL Asia Digital Literacy Day 2024, recognising educators who have excelled in integrating Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into their teaching practices.
The award presentation was presented by YBhg. Mr. Fabian Bigar, Secretary General of the Ministry of Digital Malaysia, Her Excellency Orla Tunney, Ambassador of Ireland to Malaysia, Mr. Damien O’Sullivan, CEO of ICDL Foundation and Ms. Tina Wu, General Manager of ICDL Asia during the conference.
Launched to inspire educators across the Asia Pacific region, the competition aimed to showcase transformative teaching, learning, and assessment practices through ICT. Participants were encouraged to leverage insights from the ICDL ICT in Education module to present innovative solutions that enhance the quality and inclusivity of education.
Through the competition, participating educators demonstrated a wide range of ICT-driven approaches, from gamified learning platforms to data-informed teaching methodologies. Highlighted how ICT and technology may increase student engagement, improve teaching efficiency, and create inclusive learning environments.
