
Bangkok, Thailand – The Teachers’ Civil Service and Educational Personnel Commission (T.C.C.), under the Ministry of Education, has introduced new qualification standards for the role of Educational Supervisor early this year. This important development highlights the recognition of ICDL certification as a trusted benchmark for digital skills within Thailand’s education system.
The updated qualification standards apply to individuals who are not civil servant teachers or educational personnel but wish to serve as Educational Supervisors ensuresing that education leaders possess the right combination of professional experience, academic achievements, and future-ready skills to effectively support schools and learners.

To qualify, applicants must demonstrate at least five years of relevant experience, such as in learning management, educational supervision and development, or initiatives that improve learner outcomes. In addition, candidates must meet all the following requirements:
- English proficiency at Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) level B2 or higher,
- A recognised digital skills certification such as ICDL, with at least two modules completed at a minimum score of 80%,
- Research achievements within the past five years, demonstrated through publications in TCI Tier 1 or international journals, or educational innovations granted a patent or recognised with a national award.
The inclusion of ICDL certification in Thailand’s Qualification Standards for Educational Supervisors highlights the importance of internationally recognised digital skills that provide education professionals with practical and relevant competencies.
