
Pakistan – On May 12, 2023, Bahria University launched ICDL programme officially, embarking on a groundbreaking educational collaboration to empower students with digital skills through the implementation of ICDL digital skills certification programme. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony, held at Bahria University, witnessed the convergence of esteemed dignitaries and key representatives from both institutions, marking a significant milestone in fostering educational excellence.
Gracing the launch ceremony were distinguished individuals, including His Excellency Mr. Niculaie Goia, the Ambassador of Romania to Pakistan, Vice Admiral (R) Asif Khaliq HI (M), the Honorable Rector of Bahria University, Ms. Topciu Georgeta from ICDL, Prof. Steve O. Michael, the Honorable Rector of Danubius University, Rear Admiral (R) Muhammad Arshid Javed SI(M), the Honorable Pro Rector (Academics) of Bahria University, and Mr. Awais Mehmood, the Director International Bahria University, who served as the Guest of Honour.

The primary objective of the MoU is to establish a collaborative partnership between Bahria University’s Leadership and Professional Development Center (LPDC) and ICDL, with a shared goal of providing an extensive range of ICDL modules and certifications to Bahria University students. By integrating ICDL into the curriculum, Bahria University aims to empower its students with essential digital skills and knowledge, enabling them to excel in today’s highly competitive job market.
This partnership ushers in innovative educational opportunities, equipping students to meet the evolving demands of the global is aligned with the ICDL commitment to promoting digital literacy and bridging the digital divide in Pakistan. Starting from June 20, 2023, Bahria University will launch and offer ICDL modules to its students in three major cities of Pakistan: Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore.
