ICDL Asia signed MoU with leading E-Commerce Company, Long Dao E-Commerce (Long Dao) in adopting ICDL for greater capacity building. At the same time, ICDL Asia signed the Agreement with Jiangsu Meikai Education Investment (Meikai) and accredited Meikai to be an ICDL Accredited Test Centre. The signing ceremony took place in the Irish Embassy in Beijing, witnessed by Mr. Simon Anthony Coveney, Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs & Trade of Ireland.
This 3-party partnership set a new milestone for ICDL Asia to build a strong presence in Chines E-Commerce industry. From this, Meikai will begin training students from vocational colleges in Wuxi, Suzhou, Changzhou, Kunming and other cities in China. They will be trained in ICDL Digital Marketing Module as well as other relevant modules; trained students will be able to enter the internship program by Long Dao to gain further onsite training and work experiences. Through the collaboration, Meikai and Long Dao plans to introduce similar training and certification program to more China’s corporates, to upgrade the digital productivity of existing workforce, and garner official recognition and support from Bureau of Human Resource and Social Security.
