Singapore Digital Literacy Day 2025

The inaugural Singapore Digital Literacy Day (SDLD) 2025 is a new national initiative aimed at advancing digital competencies and promoting STEM education in Singapore.

Organised in partnership with Singapore Polytechnic and supported by Enterprise Ireland and SIEMENS, the event will take place from 30 July to 1 August 2025 in Singapore Polytechnic, featuring a digital literacy conference alongside a series of engaging workshops and experiential learning activities.

Welcome to the Singapore Digital Literacy Day 2025!

Theme “Nurturing Future Digital Talent and Technology Leaders”, SDLD 2025 focuses on equipping students and educators with essential digital and engineering-related skills while inspiring greater interest in STEM careers.

The conference will offer valuable industry insights, digital learning opportunities, and professional development for both students and education leaders. It also serves as a platform to strengthen collaboration between the education sector and technology-driven industries, reflecting ICDL Asia’s ongoing commitment to promoting internationally recognised digital skills and preparing learners for the demands of the digital economy.

In conjunction with the conference, ICDL Asia will also host a series of interactive workshops, a competition, and learning journeys across the three-day programme.

These activities aim to offer meaningful exposure to emerging technologies and foster interest in STEM-related careers among students and young professionals. The existing programmes include:

  • 5G and AIoT Learning Journey
  • Electric Vehicle Exploration Tour
  • STEM Digital Literacy Learning Journey
  • Drone Operations Workshop and Drone Soccer Competition
  • Pathway to Learn Engineering Programme

These initiatives provide hands-on experiences with cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, big data, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Participants will also gain better insight in the internationally recognised ICDL digital skills certification, which supports career readiness.

By attending the programme, educators will also benefit from the sharing sessions and professional networking opportunities to support the integration of digital literacy into educational frameworks.
