The first NCET Project ICDL Centralised Exam has been held successfully in China recently. 1800 students from 16 vocational schools across the country have taken and passed the ICDL certification exams.

In Dec. 2018, ICDL Asia signed MoU with the National Center of Educational Technology (NCET) to collaborate in improving digital literacy level of vocational school teachers and students in China. ICDL Asia and NCET have jointly appointed ICDL Accredited Partner, AMI Information & Technology, and the Training Partner, Today Education, to further implement ICDL in the vocational institutions across the country. A total of 279 vocational schools have successfully applied to join the initiative and over 600 teachers were trained on the ICDL Teachers Training programme.
16 vocational schools were selected for the Centralised Exams, held in Dec 2019. They are the first batch of authorized testing sites to conduct ICDL certification exams in China. Each school organised the ICDL training course and provided ample training to the students before the exams; the good results of over 95% overall passing rate were well-deserving for the participating schools.

ICDL Asia looks forward to establishing cooperation with more vocational institutions, industries and enterprises to cultivate more talents with internationally recognised digital literacy standards in China.
