ICDL Asia partnered with Alibaba Cloud and Siemens, two of our leading sponsors of the ICDL Asia Digital Challenge 2022 to deliver our first ICDL Asia virtual career advice session last Friday (26 Aug 2022).
This unique opportunity was offered exclusively to our ICDL Asia Digital Challenge 2022 grand finalists, students aged between 13 to 25 in the Asia-Pacific region who are competing on their digital skills in this regional competition.
We invited Mr. Alvin Tan, Director of Business Development & Academic Program for Asia Pacific, Siemens Digital Industries Software and Mr. Siddharth Pandey, Cloud Solution Architect, Alibaba Cloud Indonesia and Vietnam to share about their respective organisations, work culture and what goes behind the scenes.
Through this session, we aim to inspire our students’ interest in the tech industry and understand how digital skills play an important role in the modern workplace.
In our interactive Q&A session, Mr. Tan and Mr. Pandey also shared practical career tips and advice with the students.
At ICDL Asia, we aim to bridge the gap between students and the industry. Through similar enriching learning experiences, we wish to support more students in their digital skills journey and help our partners gain better insight into prospective employees.
