The annual ICDL Asia Digital Challenge is back and promises to be better than ever before, showcasing future-ready digital skills for students in Asia. In its 6th iteration, this prestigious student competition is aimed at secondary and tertiary students aged 13 to 25 years old in Asia who wish to showcase their digital skills and take on the challenges of the new digital economy.
First held in 2017, the Digital Challenge has attracted the participation of over 3500 students and 106 institutions from the Asia-Pacific region. This year, the competition is expected to draw contestants from at least 18 countries, making it one of the most anticipated digital skills competitions in the region.
Organised by ICDL Asia and supported by Enterprise Ireland, Siemens, and Skillsbox, the Digital Challenge competition is geared towards promoting practical digital skills, with an emphasis on emerging technologies, design, and the use of fundamental office application tools. These skills are critical in today’s digital economy and are essential for students who want to succeed in their academic pursuits and future careers.
Contestants in the competition will receive exclusive access to ICDL learning materials and gain the internationally recognised ICDL Certification. Contestants who pass the ICDL certification tests in the competition will receive internationally recognised ICDL Profile Certificates and eBadges, while winners of each category will also be awarded with gold, silver, or bronze medals.
In addition to this, contestants will also gain the opportunity to connect and learn from talent across the region. Grand finalists of the Digital Challenge competition will get the chance to meet and learn from industry experts during the ICDL Asia virtual career advice session.
