ICDL ASIA HOLDS INAUGURAL EXECUTIVE DIALOGUE SESSION 2016


On the 20th July 2016, ICDL Asia held the Executive Dialogue Session 2016, co-organised with Singapore National Employers Federation. Mr. Teo Ser Luck, Minister of State for Manpower was the Guest-Of-Honour for the event. The theme for the dialogue session is “Empowering Future Workforce with Digital Competency”.

Through this half-day event, ICDL Asia aimed to create awareness and enable experience sharing among Singapore employers. Close to 100 corporate executives from Singapore and overseas, mainly Human Resource Managers attended the event. In his opening address, Mr. Teo Ser Luck, Minister of State for Manpower spoke about the digital trends that are affecting our workforce today. He added, “SNEF partnering with ICDL trying to make our workforce more digitalized is a right direction to take. It is the journey we have to pursue and embark together. The more our workforce knows about what this digital influence is on them and their jobs, the better it is.”

Mr. Damien O’ Sullivan, CEO of ICDL Foundation spoke about emerging technological trends worldwide. The event also saw a panel of experts discussing a range of topics and sharing their expertise concerning the workforce today. The panel speakers include Mr. Richard Woo, General Manager of NSC Asia Pacific, Mr. Charlton Ong, Vice President, Human resources, Group Enterprise – Singapore Telecommunications Ltd, Ms. Kelly Sofian, Senior Director, Quality & Human Resources – Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte Ltd and Mr. Stephen Yee, Assistant Executive Director and Senior Director of Training – Singapore National Employers Federation.
