ShougangFund, the investment platform of Beijing Shougang Group , signed MoU with ICDL Asia today to offer digital skills training and certification programme in Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei Province. The signing ceremony took place in Irish Embassy in Beijing, witnessed by Mr. Simon Anthony Coveney, Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs & Trade of Ireland.
A world leading company in steel manufacturing industry, Shougang Group has been dedicated to providing access to quality education for the general public. Established by ShougangFund, Jingxi International Academy will conduct executive education programmes as well as student training programmes on advance technologies. Mr. Ken Ching, ex-PwC Director from Singapore and now Managing Partner of ShougangFund, came to know about ICDL since 2017. “The practical user digital skills covered by the ICDL standard is very much needed in China. It fills the gap in vocational digital training and provide an international benchmark.”said Mr. Ching.
