Ming Chuan University Taiwan conducted ICDL Computing tests successfully


Ming Chuan University (MCU) is a well-known private university located in Taipei City, Taiwan. The university is accredited by AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, an American professional organisation). It aims to promote the localisation of global knowledge and skills, and has established multiple campuses and international training centres with more than 20,000 current students globally.

The International College of the university has implemented ICDL programme into its Micro-Academic Credit System. The first batch of 21 students from the IT Application and Management Department attended ICDL Computing certification tests recently, and all acquired ICDL certificates successfully. Mr Wang Chiou-Guang, Course Director of the college, stated that their course structure is combining data analysis, application software development with business management knowledge and skills.  At the meantime, the college is also implementing the latest technology trends into its courses, such as Big Data, Internet of Things and Artificial intelligence. Thus, the college would like to implement ICDL Data Analytics soon, and suggest all students should obtain ICDL certificates before graduating.
