ICDL Asia Digital Challenge 2018 saw widespread participation from multiple Indian states across north and south. Close to 3500 students registered for the competition with a single ATC alone, namely G-Tec Education, at their multiple centres in the Indian state of Kerala.
Mr Unnikannan Karthikeyan was named the top student from the tertiary category to represent India for the Asia Grand Finals in Bangkok. He was from the G-Tec Education centre in Harippad district.
However, due to extreme natural calamity that struck the state in the month of August-September 2018, the Indian finalist was unfortunately unable to travel and participate in the international competition in Bangkok.
A small event was organized locally to show appreciation to Mr Unnikannan for being the top Indian student. ICDL India team presented him with a gift for his excellent performance during the National Round.
All Centre Heads who were in-charge of running the competition in their G-Tec Centres were invited for this event and felicitated for their efforts in making the competition a success.
