ICDL Foundation has signed an agreement to develop an ICDL Professional Legal programme with the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL).
The agreement was endorsed by Ms Serene Wee, Singapore Academy of Law’s Chief Executive, and Damien O’Sullivan, Chief Executive of ICDL Foundation. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Ireland’s Minister of Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Heather Humphreys TD; Ambassador of Ireland to Singapore, H.E. Ambassador Pat Bourne; and Kevin Sherry, Executive Director of Enterprise Ireland.
This collaboration makes the Singapore Academy of Law the preferred global partner of ICDL Foundation for the development and promotion of the ICDL Professional Legal programme. Three ICDL modules, namely Application Essentials, IT Security and Online Collaboration have been identified for contextualisation to suit the training needs of the legal profession. Four groups of learners have been identified for this programme: practising lawyers, in-house legal counsel, paralegals and law students.
The Legal programme kicks off in Singapore and will continue to be offered to other countries in the future. ICDL Asia will be responsible for the delivery of the programme through its selected Accredited Test Centres in Singapore.
