Students at college in Suzhou offered an opportunity to gain ICDL and course credit

Students at Silicon Lake Vocational and Technical College, in the Chinese city of Suzhou, will have the opportunity to gain ICDL certification. The College is the first in Suzhou to answer Jiangsu Provincial Education Department’s call to encourage vocational students to actively take up international certifications. The Department hopes that students will improve their employability by developing their skills through ICDL certification.

AMI Educational Technology, a local ICDL test centre, signed an agreement on 10 January 2019 to start the initiative. ICDL modules will be offered to approximately 5,600 students at the College. The courses will be tailored according to the future employment skills needs of students from different subjects. Students who complete their studies and gain ICDL certification will be granted higher credits by the College.
