ICDL Digital Challenge was the first competition organised by ICDL Asia to search for students with the best ICT skills in Asia. The competition held in 2017 was a success with close to 3700 students, 106 schools and 7 countries or territories participating. In 2018, the competition involved more countries’ participation with more than 6200 students till date (as at 31 May 2018). Singapore was one for the 11 countries/territories involved.
The competition last year was for tertiary students only but this year, it is open to secondary school students as well. With that, ICDL Asia with our local partners took steps to approach the secondary and tertiary schools in Singapore to create more awareness, highlighting the importance of digital literacy required in today’s society. We are glad with the support of the schools, more than 1000 students in the country participated in the Digital Challenge.
In July, we will have our National Round competition to get the top 2 students from Secondary schools and Tertiary Institutes respectively to represent Singapore in competing with other Asia students. Hereby wishing all the best to our students who are competing in coming July.
Appreciation of support from: Naval Base Secondary School, Crescent Girls School, Hillgrove Secondary School, Yuhua Secondary School, Bedok Green Secondary School, PSB Academy, Mindpower Innovations Pte Ltd, @ASK Training Pte Ltd & Kaplan Professional.
