March 10, 2020 – To accelerate ICDL implementation in vocational schools, the Education Committee of China Volunteer Association (CVA) officially issued a notice to all NCET project schools on March 10th.
The Education Committee of China Volunteers Association was formally established in 2019 with the support of the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Civil Affairs. The committee will select a batch of ‘National Demonstrative Educational Volunteer Schools’ from NCET project schools, and will also select ‘National CVA Registered Volunteer Teachers’ and ‘National CVA Registered Volunteer Students’ from NCET project schools.
According to the Volunteer Service Regulations of China State Council, the volunteer service records will be counted into vocational school students’ social practice experiences for preferential admission into public studying abroad programmes and civil servant job application. The volunteer service records will be also counted into the assessment of teacher qualification and development. Graduating Chinese vocational school students with ICDL certificate and appropriate volunteer service records will be recommended to the committee’s cooperated enterprises and institutions.
This announcement has a positive influence on ICDL implementation and students’ career development. We are looking forward to more Chinese vocational school students benefit from ICDL.
