Hanoi, Vietnam – October 23, 2023 — The Ministry of Information & Communications Vietnam (MIC) has made an official announcement on renewing its endorsement of ICDL certification through Decision 2031/QĐ/BTTTTT. This development aligns and reaffirms its commitment to the previously approved framework which recognises five ICDL modules as meeting the standards for basic Information Technology skills in Vietnam outlined in Circular 03/2014/TT-BTTTT. The five endorsed modules are namely Computer Essentials, Online Essentials, Documents, Spreadsheets, and Presentation.
The renewal of this endorsement serves as a significant milestone for ICDL Vietnam, enabling the organisation ongoing efforts in promoting international-standard ICT (Information and Communication Technology) skills among students, learners, and workers across the nation. Moreover, this decision also paves the way for ICDL to strengthen its collaboration with various government departments in Vietnam, aligning closely with the government’s objectives in digital transformation.
Mr. Diep Xuan Tuan Anh, Business Development Manager of ICDL Vietnam, emphasised the importance of this decision, stating “It also opens the door for ICDL to continue its partnerships with diverse government departments in Vietnam, contributing to the recognition of the government’s digital transformation objectives.”
The renewal of the certification endorsement firmly establishes ICDL as a recognised digital certification program in the field of computer skills in Vietnam.
